Campfire Style Mac 'n Cheese

Remember those old Reeces Peanut Butter Cup commercials with chocolate and peanut butter where they say "Two great things that go great together".
Well, this recipe is pretty much the same.
Mac 'n Cheese is one of the top comfort foods for millions of people. And fire pit grilling is another favorite equally for millions.
Our friend Elizabeth asked "What happens when I put those two great things together?!"
What happened?!?!  Pure magic. Check it out.
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 1 serving
  • 4 3/8" disposable aluminum pie pan
  • 1/2 cup cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 T butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tinfoil

Directions

Campfire table grill mac 'n cheese is made in individual serve bowls. For each person's bowl, if you have children, you can let the kids combine all ingredients. Then seal it in foil (a double layer if cooking over an open grilling table flame). Fold over extra foil at the top to make a sturdy handle to put a stick through or tongs through.

Hold packet over the center fire pit or set it directly on the Jag Grill to melt the cheese (about 7-10 minutes) Let the pack cool briefly and open carefully. Stir up the mac and cheese and enjoy! We make ours ahead of time like a traditional tinfoil dinner as kids when we would then bring them out to be cooked at the campsite.

Thank you for sharing, Elizabeth :)
